Songs and Music About Twin Flames

I discovered Invisible String while making a twin flame playlist. Such a perfect song for it. And I was kinda floored when I first heard it because of course I had the invisible thread feeling between us, but for some reason I could only imagine it as being golden. So when she mentioned the “single thread of gold” my mouth dropped open :exploding_head:

I feel like this song fits the Twin Flames theme incredibly well.

Peggy Lee “I Was Born In Love With You”

I was born in love with you

Opened my eyes in love with you

From another time, from another place

From another world, I remember your face

I walked to find the way to you

Learned how to speak to say to you

“Stay with me now through the mists of forever”

I was born in love with you

First saw the sun in love with you

My eyes knew your smile

My hand knew your hand

My arms knew the warmth of you

I knew the touch of your lips

And the taste of your kiss before I kissed you

I will die in love with you

I’ll close my eyes in love with you

Stay with me now through the mists of forever

I’ll be born in love with you“

Elton John: “I guess that’s why they call it the blues”.

This one hits me deeply.

I have a playlist I add to when I hear a song that resonates, which I listen to, to remind me I’m not the only one going through this.

Ordinary - Alex Warren
Time after Time - Cyndi Lauper
Nothing else Matters at all - Metallica
The Sound of Silence - Disturbed

… And almost anything from Taylor Swift. I know, big mix.

I’m a simple man. I see Disney music I click like.

My twin sent me this one today:

Birds of a Feather - Billie Eilish

Universe on Fire - Gloryhammer

Taylor Swift’s Down Bad perfectly describes my journey and I gasped when I heard the phrase “lost my twin.”

Tattoo by Loreen

When I read the lyrics it really hit hard.

Impossible by Nothing but Thieves

I love this song, not specifically TF related but a great lovesong.

(can’t post links yet so words only)

Twin Flames by Rick’s Cyber Romance, can’t be more on topic than that one. The rest of the album The Love Protocol also seems to make other references to this concept.

TWIN FLAMES

They say twin flames are meant to wake

To burn bright once before they break

But fate’s a bastard—saw us ignite

Laughed and whispered, “Not in this life”

We’re two sparks thrown in the wrong dimension

Too wild for earth, too much ascension

And now I talk to walls, ’cause there’s no one left

No one to confess that one hour with you hits deeper than the rest

I know our fate was written in a time I’ll never know,

But I’m only flesh and fear, and I can’t bear to let it go

So please—let me let you go

If you’ve already done your part

Why won’t you leave this weary heart?

Let me let you go

You were dream, fire, and miracle

But this kind of love has no place in the world we know

So please—let me let you go

I dread the moment when the lights go out

Cause that’s when you return, and I can’t shut you out

And I wonder if the shift for you was ever real,

Or if I’m alone inside a storm you never had to feel

I’ve got a thousand things I’d tell you, but no one here

Understands who you were or why you burned so clear

And if life wants more from me, it’s scraping bone and skin

I’ve already given everything, there’s nothing left within

I know the bond we had was forged in places none can know

But I’m just human wreckage, without the courage to let you go

So please—let me let you go

If you’ve already done your part

Why won’t you leave this weary heart?

Let me let you go

You were dream, fire, and miracle

But this kind of love has no place in the world we know

So please—let me let you go

So cruel that we had to touch souls once

Only to remember who I was before this life begun

And now I dig the grave for what we were, for what we gave

A duty carved in fate — to bury the only love I was never meant to save

So please—let me let you go

If you’ve already done your part

Why won’t you leave this weary heart?

Let me let you go

You were dream, fire, and miracle

But this kind of love has no place in the world we know

So please—let me let you go

Fire on Fire by Sam Smith

It has everything - other people not understanding and misinterpreting the connection, an element of danger from the intensity, yet there ultimately being an underlying plan and rhythm to things.

“My mother said I’m too romantic
She said, “You’re dancing in the movies”
I almost started to believe her
Then I saw you and I knew
Maybe it’s 'cause I got a little bit older
Maybe it’s all that I’ve been through
I’d like to think it’s how you lean on my shoulder
And how I see myself with you”

“Fire on fire would normally kill us
But this much desire, together, we’re winners
They say that we’re out of control and some say we’re sinners
But don’t let them ruin our beautiful rhythms
'Cause when you unfold me and tell me you love me
And look in my eyes
You are perfection, my only direction
It’s fire on fire”

Has anyone listened to ‘Pagan Poetry’ by Björk?

If not— I invite you to give it a listen. It really encapsulates what you feel when you encounter a deep soul connection.

'Cause you are my kind
You’re all that I want
Here in this life
Until we are gone
Our breath and our skin
Our hearts and our minds
They’re one and the same
You are my kind

I’ve noticed that the songs that serve us best aren’t always the ones about missing them or wanting them back - they’re the ones that push us toward our own healing and expansion.

Ghost is a good example actually. On the surface it’s about longing, but if you flip the perspective, it can also be about releasing attachment while honoring the connection. That shift in how we hear these songs often mirrors where we are in our own growth.
