When Is it the Runners Turn?

Quick question first. When you say you want it to be their turn, do you mean you want them to finally “feel the pain” or do you want proof the connection was never one-sided?

And be honest with yourself there. Because for me, those felt like the same thing at first. They aren’t. And it’s very, very different energy. One had me checking for signs constantly (every song, every number, you know how it goes), and the other made me ask what kind of contact or silence I could actually live with. Very different roads.

Also curious about the replay loop. Does it get worse after dates because the new person contrasts with your twin, or because dating itself feels like performing ‘normal’ while your energy is still parked somewhere else? Not judging. I did the exact same thing for a long time.

The running and chasing, I’ve done both!

First I was the chaser, after we met 35yrs ago, we had a short intense relationship, too intense for him…he ran! We were teenagers at the time and I obviously was completely oblivious to the soul/twin flame thing, I was in so much pain, it’s so cliche but I was listening to air supply constantly, I didn’t understand what I was feeling! I would see him literally everywhere, and when I say he was the runner, it wasn’t just metaphorical, there were a few instances where he literally ran from me, hiding behind cars. :joy: This many years later I finding kinda funny! I don’t remember how I moved out of that pain, I had every distraction available to me. I finally met my soulmate/partner and entered into a relationship, and that’s when my TF started chasing, and I ran, would not talk to him, etc. But as the runner and in a relationship not with my TF I can say, I thought about him constantly, dreaming about him, fantasizing about him, trying by to find information on what he was doing, knowing I wouldn’t act on it! His presence in my subconscious lost the painful aspect and became a kind of security blanket.

Flash forward to present day, we are in separation but communicating and being honest about our relationship, he has told me that he ran initially because of the intensity of the feelings, processing that as a teenager was scary, but he says he knew at the first time we were intimate that I was his soulmate. And now talking to him again I’ve learned that his experience was similar, the dreams and intrusive thoughts, fantasies, online searches for me, (our lives took us far away from each other geographically).

So I believe everyone in separation hurts. The runners pain is similar to the chasers pain, two sides, same coin. After a while it just gets less acute, sort like the grieving process.

Love to all who are feeling it right now!

The sleep thing got me, that loop you didn’t ask for. I’ve had regular breakup insomnia and it fades. This lingers because it’s energetic, and the runner picks up fragments on their end whether they name it or not.

Their turn comes when their distractions stop working. They always stop working eventually. Keep dating and keep living. Just don’t mistake their silence for absence.

I don’t see people talk much about what you’re supposed to do with the energy when it spikes. It has to go somewhere. I paint as a hobby, and I started treating those obsessive waves like excess paint on a brush. If I didn’t get it onto a canvas, it would smear all over my day. So give the connection a specific container, like twenty minutes to journal, pray, cry, or pull cards. Then close it consciously.

The bond stays the same size, but that can keep it from taking over your whole nervous system.

The minute you stop caring. The second you realize you don’t need anyone to make you happy. The moment you understand that you are every bit as important as they are. The absolute inner knowing that you were already chosen for a spiritual awakening. One that’s all about you and only you. Thats when the magic happens. Not a second before. It’s divine timing waiting for your divinity.

I surrendered so no idea but I can see how it switches looking back over 30yrs but I wasnt engaging. I have no interest in dating, as right now it is me and my daughter time. My final battle and lesson is here and removal of her narcissistic/alcoholic father from my house comes first. My flame cracked my crown open in May and that is how I figured out he is my flame. I have visions and him being at court house after I win my battle so time will tell. And honestly my separation from her father was biggest mirror back to my flame as hus emotional trauma from his parents divorce has held him back. My situation is crazy but everything majes sense. Be Still and just work on yourself
