I agree with something Cassady said here earlier.
There are a lot of things we repeat, but we don’t really know. I don’t know if separation is necessary, but it does seem like at least 99.9999% of us go through it so there must be a point. It just stands to reason that when there’s a pattern this widespread, it must have some kind of reason (even if it isn’t a good one).
Maybe we’ll find out and it will make sense afterward.
