All my life I’ve been someone who’s very good with animals. But now there’s a situation that I find quite strange.
My brother has had a wolfdog (female) for about a year now, and with her it’s really difficult (I do see her like two times a week for one year now). All the other animals I’ve interacted with, long before I even met my twin, have never had any problems with me.
Anyway, my brother’s wolfdog behaves very oddly around me.
When I meet her outside on walks, she notices me first, before the other dog or the people she’s walking with. She spots me from far away and seems genuinely excited, happily coming toward me… but when she’s about a meter away, she suddenly stops and backs off or steps aside.
Inside the apartment it’s even more intense. She doesn’t dare walk past me, even when I’m sitting calmly and completely ignoring her. She also barks at me indoors.
I keep wondering if this could be because:
1. she might be sensing my twin’s energy around me. I sometimes imagine it like she perceives it as if someone were standing right behind me.
or
2. because of the connection and the forced awakening that came with it, my energy might be vibrating at a higher frequency than what she’s used to? I know some humans experience synesthesia, maybe animals perceive energy in a similar way? Perhaps she “sees” my energy differently, like in different colors, and that could be confusing or unsettling for her?
Does anyone have any thoughts on this, or similar experiences?
Wolfdogs are particularly sensitive to energies. They have these instinctual traits from their wolf side that make them really tuned in to things we can’t see. Wolves are suspicious and timid around strangers, that’s just how they survive in the wild. But she’s clearly drawn to you initially, so this isn’t standard stranger fear.
So about your second theory, the vibration thing, I think you’re onto something there. When we go through a twin flame awakening, our energy field changes. Twin flame energy is this high vibrational frequency that gets even more intense after encountering your twin. It’s like this explosion of pure unconditional divine love. That kind of energy would register differently to an animal.
Animals are instinctually psychic, they can see spiritual energies around us that we can’t perceive ourselves. Dogs can detect little shifts in human energy. A wolfdog would have this amplified because of the wolf genetics. The wolf side makes them even more sensitive to changes in their environment. Maybe she’s picking up your twin’s energy signature overlapping with yours? Or maybe your new vibration is just unfamiliar territory for her. Her behavior sounds like a confirmation that something energetic is happening around you.
Animals are sensitive to spiritual and energetic changes. When twin flames are nearing union or going through intense phases, their joint energy becomes very powerful, and animals can pick up on this. They might interact with you in unusual ways because of it. What you’re experiencing sounds exactly like that.
Twin flames share a telepathic and energetic bond that’s never broken. Their energies flow between them regardless of physical presence. If she’s sensing that dual energy or that intense merged energy field around you, it could explain the approach-avoidance pattern. The barking indoors makes sense too. Dogs bark at things that feel unfamiliar or that they can’t quite figure out. If your energy looks or feels ‘different’ to her because of the twin flame connection, she might be trying to communicate her confusion about what she’s perceiving.
Animals are already at a higher frequency than us in human form, so they’re naturally more aware of the non-physical world. They can see energies and spirits that we typically can’t perceive. Your brother’s wolfdog might literally be seeing something around you that others can’t.
Dogs that sense something unusual about a person’s energy field often show specific signs like backing away, tucking their tail, and barking. When there’s negative or confusing energy, some dogs get nervous while others get agitated. But yours isn’t acting fully afraid - she’s conflicted. Excited first, then uncertain.
Twin flame awakening does something to your energy. Your chakras giving off this flame vibe that influences everything and everyone around you. You’re radiating differently than before. Animals pick up on little cues - changes in your electromagnetic field, your heart rate, your body chemistry. But beyond the physical stuff, they’re also reading the actual energetic shifts.
Might be worth trying some grounding practices before you see her next time. Some people find that animals respond better once they’ve centered their energy. It could help her settle around you, or at least give you more information about what exactly she’s reacting to.
I believe animals can sense the energy around us twin flames - maybe your wolfdog is picking up on something she doesn’t quite understand yet, like she sees two energies where there should only be one.
Reading your post reminded me a lot of how my aunt’s husky reacted when my twin came into my life. Before union energy really kicked in, he would run toward me, stop a little distance away (also around a meter), then pace in a half-circle like he was trying to figure out where to place me in his internal map. I started consciously acknowledging the energetic presence of my twin before I entered the room. I’d literally say in my mind, ‘Okay, we’re going to be around sensitive beings now, let’s soften and ground.’ Over a few weeks, the husky began coming closer, lying down with his back against my leg but his head facing the door, almost like he was watching both me and the unseen energy around me.
Their hesitation feels like a kind of respect, and that took away a lot of the self-consciousness I felt at first.
Your wolfdog might be picking up on that dual energy field around you. Animals are really attuned to energetic shifts, and she could be sensing your twin’s presence overlapping with yours. That would explain why she’s drawn in but then hesitates - like she’s encountering someone unexpected.
I think animals are connected to energy we can’t understand on the 3D. I think they also can have. A role carrying messages from spirit:
I believe in the twin flame energy connection, but I wonder if we might be overlooking something simpler here.
Wolfdogs specifically are known to be incredibly sensitive to subtle body language and energy shifts that domestic dogs might ignore. Your awakening process could be changing how you carry yourself in ways you’re not even conscious of. She might be picking up on the intensity of your own transformed energy field, which could feel unfamiliar or overwhelming to her heightened wolf instincts.
Animals respond to spiritual shifts, but you’ve also changed so profoundly that you might register differently to sensitive creatures now. Just a thought - either way, it’s clearly connected to your process.
