Well a soulmate (which technically everyone who isn’t your twin flame qualifies as a soulmate to some degree) won’t trigger a spiritual awakening and won’t mirror your issues/insecurities perfectly.
I think you’re talking about people who are in your soul family which usually feels like mutual love/support and has an easygoing vibe where conversations and ideas flow naturally. They’re the kinds of people where 3 hours go by when you’re with them, even though it only felt like 15 minutes.
If our individual souls are like specific radio frequencies, then our closest soulmates would be as if you tuned the dial very subtly; not the exact same, but still really freaking close. With soulmates, your whole life and concept of yourself and your place in the world won’t be flipped upside down, and soulmate relationships feel like comfortable companionships where you can be yourself around them and spend decades knowing each other without ever getting tired of one another.

No quiz is gonna give you the full answer. At best, a good one can help point you in the right direction. Most are surface-level, generic stuff that fits with any kind of soul-level connection, so they can’t tell you the difference between soulmates and twin flames. You could use a TF birth chart if you wanted something more specific to you and your connection.
Other than that, your own intuition.

The synchronicities are the real test. Their name just kept appearing everywhere, conversations I didn’t start, random places, over and over. Not vague coincidences either. They were weirdly specific connections between our pasts that I genuinely could not explain away, no matter how hard I tried.
I stopped trying to quiz my way to an answer (no test is definitive anyway) and just lived my life. The connection revealed itself through experience.

The mirroring piece. That’s the real test for me, more than any quiz could pinpoint.
With my twin flame, there’s a present moment awareness where I just know why they react certain ways. I get their reasoning without them having to explain it. And that understanding didn’t build over time. It was just… there. You’re not constantly stressed trying to decode where they’re coming from, you just feel it. And that immediate knowing only works when you’re fully present with someone. Actually, inside it.
That awareness being there without effort. That feels like the only test that matters to me.

I think the whole quiz/test approach just misses the point. The more you try to logically prove it through some checklist, the more it slips away from you, and I wonder if that’s kind of by design?
My experience has been that if it’s real, it finds you in ways you never would have predicted, not the other way around. But maybe that’s just me.
Quizes to put something deeply spiritual into neat little boxes. It just doesn’t work that way. Twin flames reflect YOU back at yourself, the good and the ugly stuff you don’t want to see, all of it at once, with zero filter. That’s why it gets chaotic and hurts sometimes.
Soulmates have different energy entirely. Karmic bonds meant to love you through everything, unconditionally.
